ND Department of Agriculture Press ReleasesFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MARCH 24, 2008 AGRICULTURE PHOTO CONTEST WINNERS NAMED BISMARCK – A windmill and cornfield silhouetted by a glowing sunset, a child bottle feeding a lamb, and the long shadow of a cowboy and his horse were among the prizewinning entries in the 2007 North Dakota Department of Agriculture Photo Contest. “We had almost twice as many entries this year as we had in last year’s first photo contest,” Agriculture Commissioner Roger Johnson said Monday. “The selection and the quality made the judges’ job more difficult, but they came up with six strong images that depict the variety of North Dakota agriculture.” Johnson presented each of the winners with a $50 prize and a certificate. Katherine Plessner of Verona was the first double winner with first place in the landscape and people categories. The winners in the other categories are:
