CANADA THISTLE BIO-CONTROL FIELD DAY SLATED

BISMARCK – A field day to demonstrate the use of biological control agents on Canada thistle will be held Friday, June 27, in Bowman County.

The event begins at 9:30 a.m. (MT) in the west wing of the Four Seasons Pavilion, 12 Highway 12E in Bowman. Following a classroom presentation, the participants will visit sites where Canada thistle stem mining weevils (Ceutorhynchus litura) and stem gall flies (Urophora cardui) have been released.

There is no pre-registration or fee. Lunch will be provided.

The event is hosted by the Bowman County Weed Board and co-sponsored by the the North Dakota Department of Agriculture (NDDA).
