ND COMPANIES TO ATTEND TWIN CITIES FOOD AND WINE SHOW

BISMARCK – Two companies will represent North Dakota at the region’s largest wine and gourmet food show.

North Prairie Signature LLP, Leeds,  and Maple River Winery Casselton, will offer samples of and display their products from their booths at the 15th Twin Cities Food and Wine Experience, Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 28-March 1, at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

“This is the number one gourmet food and wine show in the Midwest,” said Agriculture Commissioner Roger Johnson. “More than 12,000 consumers, as well as wineries, restaurants and specialty food manufacturers from across the country, will be on hand.”

North Prairie Signature produces offers a bison summer sausages, bison jerky, bison snack sticks, a “Sweet & Hot Pepper Relish” and “Dakota Style Seasoning.” Maple River Winery makes fruit wines at its boutique winery in Casselton.

The North Dakota Department of Agriculture is underwriting a portion of the booth cost through the Pride of Dakota marketing program.

Authorized by the Legislature and administered by NDDA, Pride of Dakota fosters the development and growth of small businesses and especially businesses that are farm-based or rely on agricultural commodities. Pride of Dakota member companies participate in cooperative promotion and marketing events; receive representation at local, state, regional, national, and international trade shows and take part in educational opportunities.
