PRIDE OF DAKOTA NOW ON FACEBOOK

BISMARCK – Pride of Dakota has joined the popular social network website, Facebook.

“The new Pride of Dakota fan page on Facebook is an easy and cost-effective way to connect people and products,” said Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring. “The Facebook page will be regularly updated to provide readers with the latest information on Pride of Dakota products, the people behind those products, upcoming events and educational opportunities.”

The Pride of Dakota fan page is located at www.facebook.com/home.php#/pages/Bismarck-ND/Pride-of-Dakota/116077500184?ref=ts. Viewers must log on with a user name and password, available free with Facebook registration.

“The new page will also provide the North Dakota Department of Agriculture (NDDA) with feedback from users on how we can improve our page and the Pride of Dakota program,” Goehring said.

Goehring also said Pride of Dakota’s own website, www.prideofdakota.com, is being updated.

“The website now has a wholesale section for store owners to easily find member companies that offer their products on a wholesale basis,” he said. “This will help merchants locate Pride of Dakota products to promote in their stores.”

Upcoming additions include a store locator to help prospective customers quickly locate stores that sell Pride of Dakota products, and a photo gallery featuring photos from Pride of Dakota events.

Authorized by the Legislature and administered by the North Dakota Department of Agriculture, the Pride of Dakota program fosters the development and growth of small businesses and especially businesses that are farm-based or rely on agricultural commodities. Pride of Dakota member companies can participate in cooperative promotion and marketing events; receive representation at local, state, regional, national, and international trade shows and educational opportunities. More than 400 companies are Pride of Dakota members.
