Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring said everyone is welcome to the event, open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and sponsored by the North Dakota Department of Agriculture (NDDA) and the Council of State Employees (COSE). “This is an opportunity for Capitol visitors and state employees alike to shop for high quality Pride of Dakota products and to meet the people who make them,” Goehring said. “We have a record number of companies – 52 – selling foods and condiments, decorative items, jewelry, art, apparel and much more. Many of these companies will also be offering samples.” Administered by NDDA Marketing Services, the Pride of Dakota program provides member companies with cooperative marketing and promotional events, such as in-store demonstrations, Pride of Dakota Day and the Holiday Showcases.
